Greater Shepparton City Council has announced that its pools in Mooroopna, Merrigum and Tatura opened for the season on Saturday, November 30.
Aquamoves centre manager Steve Wilson said the outdoor rural pools had a big impact on the communities they served.
“We are fortunate to have our rural pools, which provide fantastic spaces for families and friends to connect, stay active and create lasting memories,” he said.
“They play a vital role in bringing our communities together and offer a safe, enjoyable environment for everyone.
“I encourage people in our small towns, as well as those in Shepparton, to take full advantage of these wonderful facilities this season.”
Council is encouraging everyone to make the most of the good weather this summer and take a dip in their local pool, with something for everyone to enjoy.
Also returning is the popular Summer Family Pool Membership, which includes unlimited access to all three rural pools, as well as the indoor and outdoor pools and splash park at Aquamoves for up to five months.
The pass costs $310 for up to five people, with the option to add more people at an additional cost.
The outdoor rural pools at Mooroopna, Merrigum and Tatura will be open until Monday, March 10, 2025.
