Ashley Paul Griffith, 46, will return to the dock in Brisbane District Court on Friday for the completion of his sentencing hearing.
He has pleaded guilty to 28 counts of rape against girls primarily aged three to five at childcare centres between 2007 and 2022.
Judge Paul Smith listened for two hours on Thursday as three victims, now young adults, and 20 parents of victims read from their victim impact statements.
They told how their lives were shattered by Griffith sexually assaulting toddlers and young girls while filming them.
Griffith pleaded guilty to 307 offences including ongoing sexual abuse and making child exploitation material against nearly 70 victims beginning in 2003 and ending with his arrest in August 2022.
Director of Public Prosecutions Todd Fuller previously said Griffith should face life imprisonment with a minimum of 30 years without parole for his "calculation and perversion" in targeting children while they slept or by taking them to isolated areas of childcare centres.
"He was frequently changing jobs as a strategy used to avoid being caught ... He has a high level of sexual deviance," he said.
Mr Fuller said Griffith showed "brazenness at the time" of his offending and a complete lack of insight.
Defence barrister Sarah Cartledge called for Griffith to be sentenced to 25 to 30 years imprisonment with a minimum of 15 years non-parole as his crimes were not as violent or extreme as other Queensland sex offenders who had been jailed for life.
Judge Smith on Thursday said he had a "wide discretion" in determining a minimum sentence for Griffith and adjourned the matter until Friday to hand down his decision.
