A national champion in shot put in her native country of India, Singh was no rookie when it came to performing at a high level.
Singh competed for three days along the picturesque beaches of Gold Coast as she fought hard throughout her chosen events.
The only requirement to compete in the masters games is to meet the qualifying age, which for most sports is 30 or older.
Tatura’s star athlete said she enjoyed the games for a multitude of reasons.
“It was very nice, I got to meet my friends from India and America,” Singh said.
“The whole experience was good.
“I have been doing all of these sports from when I was young.
“I am a national champion in India in shot put — it wasn’t hard.”
After winning a silver medal in shot put during her return to competitive sport in 2022, Singh was determined to ramp up her training to add some more medals to her collection.
However, Singh said the extra training paid off in more than just silver and bronze.
“I have been doing these sports since I was young,” she said.
“It is a good way to stay fit, it’s good for your fitness.
“I do my exercise every day, I go to the gym every day.
“It’s a passion and an addiction to going to the gym every day to keep fit.”
With those three medals in her back pocket, Singh said she already had her attention turned to some upcoming events early next year.
“In February, there is a competition in Melbourne,” she said.
“Then the national masters are in Canberra, then I am planning to go to one of the world masters games in South Africa.”
