A man was taken to hospital after a crash involving two vehicles in Shepparton during peak hour on Tuesday, December 19.

Police said the crash occurred when a ute was hit from behind by a van as it was moving into the right-hand turning lane to turn from Wyndham St into Wilmot Rd about 8.50am.
Both vehicles had been travelling in the northbound lane of Wyndham St at the time of the crash.
The Shepparton man, 55, driving the ute was taken to Goulburn Valley Health in a serious but stable condition with a suspected upper body injury, according to an Ambulance Victoria spokesperson.
The Shepparton man, 68, driving the van was not injured.
Traffic in the northbound lane of Wyndham St was slowed for almost an hour as the crash site was cleared.
Both vehicles were extensively damaged and were towed from the scene.
Police fined the van driver $288 for failing to drive a sufficient distance behind a vehicle. He also lost one demerit point.
