This transition is based on extensive consultations with parents, focusing on their needs and aspirations for themselves and their families.
The initiative aims to support parents and carers of young children in juggling family life with employment and education goals.
CVGT Employment’s specialist program manager Silvia Tecer said the program can help connect participants with resources and mentors.
“CVGT Employment’s Parent Pathway program is more than just a service, it’s a community,” she said.
“Our service offers a supportive and flexible environment where participants can connect with resources and qualified mentors to achieve their goals.”
The CVGT team builds relationships with local agencies, including childcare providers and community organisations, to give parents and carers the support they need.
Parents will be able to access a range of support, including career counselling, skills training, job search assistance, and childcare referrals.
The program also offers workshops on work-life balance, financial literacy, and personal development.
CVGT Employment will maintain its presence in Rochester, employing local staff and expanding resources to neighbouring areas.
