Barooga won the toss, electing to bat.
The Saints started strongly with both Jeremy Packer (4-22) and Matt Whelan (1-8) reducing the Hawks to 3-4.
Barooga steadied with Brendan Lewis (17), Lachlan Sutton (19) and Crue Lucas (19) taking Barooga to a competitive 9-98 after their 20 overs.
Jordan Swann finished with the figures of 3-28 from his 4 overs.
In return, the Saints started slowly with Barooga bowling consistent lines to reduce the Saints scoring ability, with Lachlan Sutton (3-7) to have the Saints at 3-21.
Jeremy Packer hit a quick-fire 15 but with his departure the Saints still had a lot of work to do.
Luke Melville and Jacob Bartlett rotated the strike to quickly add runs to the Saints score however the run rate proved too great with the Saints finishing at 5-84 after their 20 overs with Melville 27 not out and Bartlett 12 not out.
James Hooper (2-22) claimed the other wickets for Barooga.
Barooga won by 14 runs.

In round one of the Murray Valley Cricket Association’s A-grade competition on Saturday, the Saints hosted Nathalia.
The Saints won the toss electing to bat.
This proved difficult for the Saints, who collapsed to 4-22 with opening bowlers Dylan Cunningham (4-17) and Clancy Congues (2-30) seaming the new ball around.
Connor Thornton gave some hope for the Saints with a resurgence, however the introduction of spin by Scott Morris (2-18) was too lucrative.
Thornton was caught in the deep for 25 and the Saints were 5-40.
Brad Loats (19 not out) and Graeme Parr (8) got the Saints to 10-79 after 26 overs.
After the tea break, the life in the pitch had disappeared with Nathalia's openers making the most of the conditions.
They passed the Saints’ score to get 1-80 after 14 overs, with Morris (45) top scoring and Rory Knight (28 not out) and Brady Walpole (3 not out) unbeaten.
Jacob Bartlett finished with the figures 1-47.
Connor Thornton picked up the Berrigan Hay Logistics and Schifferle Farming $50 award.
