Owner Debi Kitt knows all too well the difficulty in accessing food that caters for food intolerances.
Having suffered from coeliac disease for 15 years, Debi was forced to travel to Melbourne to access foods that were gluten-free, as the Goulburn Valley lacked the variety to cater to her food allergies.
However, due to limited travel movements throughout COVID-19 lockdowns, Debi was unable to access the foods she needed.
“I thought, I can’t be the only one who can’t get food,” she said.
Therefore, Debi said goodbye to life as a travel agent and hello to Healthy Tummies Pantry.
She has created a relaxed atmosphere that combines both a fully functioning café and store.
The entire store and café is 100 per cent gluten-free while also providing lactose-free, soy-free, vegan, coeliac-friendly and FODMAP-friendly foods and ingredients.
“Everything is organic, which is great,” Debi said.
“All our cakes are made by a lady in Shepparton who specialises in gluten-free as well as everything soy-free, nut-free, dairy-free.
“I also make most of the hot foods at the café.”

“You can come in and have a full meal but also shop a range of organic toiletries, beauty products and food also,” Debi said.
Debi and the team also offer delivery to local areas for those unable to travel to the store.
