Launching Deni’s cultural celebrations

A crowd of community members filled the front lawn at Yarkuwa Indigenous Knowledge Centre in north Deniliquin on Monday to kick start Wamba Wamba Perrepa Perrepa Week.

Attendees gathered bright and early from 8am with a delicious egg and bacon roll breakfast on offer before the official flag raising ceremony.

It started what has been a full of activities to celebrate the local First Nation’s culture and knowledge shared with the community.

Yarkuwa partnered with Edward River Council for the celebrations.
