Two men have been shot by police after they allegedly drove a stolen vehicle directly towards the officers.

The duo were fired at when police responded to reports of a stolen car at Wentworthville, in Sydney's west, on Friday afternoon.
It is alleged the officers were in the underground car park of a unit when the vehicle was driven at them.
Both of the car's occupants were shot during the confrontation.
The men were whisked away from the scene by paramedics and taken to Westmead Hospital.
One of them is reported to be in a critical condition, while the other is listed as in a serious but stable condition.
No police officers were harmed in the incident.
The investigation will also be subject to an independent review.
