The forecast for show day is sunshine, and a bumper day filled with fun and entertainment for the whole family.
Entertainment kicks off at 11am with free workshops and activities from Fizzics Education, the ever-popular Hay Ho Animal Nursery, Cheeky Smiles Face Painting, and Kidz Zone.
The show falls within the nine days of celebration to Revisit the Historical Village of Berrigan, with local artists performing at the Show as a preview to the Musical Spectacular to be held at Berrigan Memorial Hall on Saturday, October 12.
The 2024 Berrigan Show introduces a couple of new competitions, including a new calf rearing competition with classes for both winter and spring calves.
“This year we also welcome a new scarecrow competition at 12pm with the whole family invited to participate”, said Berrigan Show Society president Neville Dalgliesh.
The show will be officially opened by Finley High School principal Jeff Ward at 12.30pm, followed by the announcement of the Berrigan Show, The Land Sydney Royal AgShows NSW Young Woman.
Mr Dalgliesh noted the time and energy of the committee, community and volunteers to put together a great show.
“I would like to once again thank all our wonderful sponsors, without their generous support we would not be able to run our show”, said Mr Dalgliesh.
Entry to the Berrigan Show is $15 per adult, $5 for pensioners and children aged 10 to 16, and free for children under-16.
Membership tickets can be purchased from the Berrigan Show office at the showgrounds until Friday at 5pm.
All attendees to the Berrigan Show will receive an entry ticket to the lucky gate prize.
The winner will receive a premium cabin for two nights at Kismet Riverside Lodge in Howlong.
