The minor premier is hungry for September action, which is why Fiona Down was quick to re-sign as senior netball coach for next year.
Down's reappointment came last week and the playing coach's tenure will extend into a third season.
The talented midcourter said it was an easy decision to go around again in 2022.
“Absolutely, we feel like we have unfinished business. I'm really excited to build on this year,” Down said.
“It was unfortunate that we didn't get a chance to finish the year off.
“No doubt, for majority of the girls, there is that hunger there. Whether that is the same group, I'm not sure, but I hope it is. I just know that the stop-starts this year were really taxing on the girls.
“Who knows what (next year) looks like, but fingers crossed we can get a full season in.”
Tallygaroopna went through its 13 games in 2021 with only one blemish to its name.
When Kyabram District League called time on the season — due to Shepparton's COVID-19 outbreak in August — Tally sat in first spot on the ladder.
“I felt we had a great team and a great blend of experience and youth this year,” Down said.
“Our mentality was to win, but our main focus was to go out and have fun this year after the year off. We wanted to connect with our community and connect with each other on the court and I really felt that was the case.”
But the talented outfit also enjoyed success off the court.
At the league's recent presentation night, Tally star midcourter Claudia Callagher finished runner-up in the Warren Medal vote count.
Down enjoyed a stellar season and that was reflective of her fourth spot finish in the league's A-grade best-and-fairest.
And Tallygaroopna was recognised with the netball club champion award.
Down congratulated her side's skilled wing attack for a sublime campaign.
“Claudia had an outstanding year,” she said.
“Her connection with the goalers was excellent and her skill level is incredible. I was hoping she could finish high in the vote count and get reward for her great season. Unfortunately, it wasn't to be and she was pipped in the final round, but she was very humble.”
