The team is set for a grand final match-up with Strikers in Shepparton on Saturday and will go into the game as a strong favourite after remaining unbeaten in the season so far.
Echuca Moama has given up just five goals in the season so far, while slotting 57 over the course of the year.
Many of those goals have come courtesy of Courtney Thompson, who leads the competition with 24 for the season, ably supported by Agostina Traglia’s 10.
The September 7 semi-final round saw Echuca Moama taking on fourth-placed Euroa, with the minor premiers barely breaking stride in a 9-0 demolition.
Meanwhile, Strikers also had a comfortable win in their semi-final, dispatching Benalla 10-0.
Strikers have consistently been the biggest challenge for E-M, being responsible for all five goals it has conceded and going down by just one goal against the locals in two of their three meetings.
In the men’s competitions, Echuca Moama was unable to progress past the semi-final round in either A- or B-grades.
In A-grade, the side’s third-placed finish earned it a match-up with Strikers, who executed a dominant performance to come away 9-0 winners.
B-grade saw Echuca Moama take on Shepparton Youth Club in a more closely run affair, but the locals went down 5-3, ending their season.
Two goals to Cameron Kenley and one to William Kerr weren’t enough for Echuca Moama to overcome SYC.
Echuca Moama’s women’s side will take on Strikers in a GVHA grand final at Shepparton Sports City from 2pm on Saturday.
