Rennie 23 def by Tocumwal 29
It was a windy day out at Yarroweyah for the prelim final against Tocumwal but it didn’t seem to stop either team from shooting accurately.
The attackers worked tirelessly to keep driving forward and moved the ball well. Defenders were up against some strong shooters and kept their head up and worked hard for rebounds.
Midcourt never gave up and were constantly finding space to keep the ball moving.
This weeks result wasn’t what the club wanted but the girls played exceptionally well and kept positive against a very good team and not once did they give up or drop their heads and should be very proud of themselves.
As a coaching group we couldn’t have asked for more and are so proud of the progress these girls have made from the start of the season until now.
A huge thank you to all parents and supporters who have rallied behind the girls each and every week.

Rennie 25 def by Deni Rovers 43
The final curtain was drawn on court one at Mathoura for the under 15s, putting an end to a fantastic season.
The girls had a very tough game on Saturday against the undefeated and very impressive Deni Rovers.
The shooters: Charlotte, Jasi, and Sienna had a great game against talented defenders. They worked beautifully together throughout the whole game and never gave up. Midcourters: Mim, Ruby, Michelle, Mia, and Layla all played amazing. They put in everything they had and didn’t make it easy for the Rovers.
Defenders: Kate, Tess, and Samantha all had their work cut out for them. They worked great together and put lots of defensive pressure over the ball.
Even though the Hoppers didn’t come away with the win, everyone should be very proud of the effort they put in and the season they had.
The coaches would like to say a massive thank you to all the parents; it wouldn’t be possible without you.
Thank you to the whole team for the great season. Last but not least, thank you to Amy and Illa for your dedication and positivity each week; you are both legends!

Rennie 51 def Katunga 23
A nice scenic drive to Mathoura early on Saturday morning to face off against the tough Katunga Swans.
With nerves in tummies, laces tied and smiles on faces, the girls took the court.
Taking a few minutes to settle into the game, goal for goal with the Swans.
A few intercepts and fingertips to balls saw the Hoppers take the lead. Fighting tooth and nail for every ball with an opponent hot on their tail Rennie did what they do best.
Precision passing into the ring from the midcourters and what looked like endless running rewarded from the goalies that barely missed a goal.
Let’s not forget the defenders making it hard for the Swans shooters to see with a reach that makes it feel like they’re 3 cms away.
Body on body pressure was felt from the Swans making it known they weren’t going down without a fight.
A full team effort. the Hoppers came out with the win and a ticket to the GF!
