Bupa Aged Care Echuca hosted a Cancer Council Biggest Morning Tea event for its residents, staff and wider community members on Thursday, May 30, from 10am.

There were a range of sweets and treats for guests to enjoy, including sandwiches, tarts, biscuits, and slices, all made in-house by the Bupa Echuca team.
A raffle and lucky door prizes were drawn at the event, with donations from Candle Scents, I Want I Need, Woolworths Echuca West, Guys and Girls, Prouds The Jewellers, and Cadell, as well as from Bupa Echuca team members.
Bupa Echuca general manager Lailani Dorupa was delighted with the success of the event. The morning tea celebrated one of the residents marking 10 years being cancer-free.
“It was really good, I’m very happy with the outcome and turnout,” she said.
“It’s a very worthy cause ... a good way to have a cup of tea.”
Many friends and family came along to fundraise and enjoy the morning tea spread, which the centre enjoyed showcasing.
The event also provided an opportunity to present the Echuca Moama Men’s Shed with a $3500 cheque, raised during their 10th birthday celebrations.
The facility welcomes the wider community to visit the centre and participate in its Coffee Club on Tuesdays and Thursdays, weekly concerts and monthly events like Thursday’s morning tea.
There was a broad selection of treats to enjoy.
