Also in the line-up will be the Goulburn Ovens Sedan Association in series competition with twenty cars of their own whilst Sports Sedans and Unlimited Sedans have great fields also.
Competing in the Queen of the Murray, Roycroft will be up against competition she knows very well with the likes of Zoey Salau, Katie Meyer, Chelsea Hodge, Bianca Ballantyne, Kimberly Smith, and Pauline Fell all signed up, one competitor that Roycroft will be keen to turn laps with is Trish Dike from Southeast Melbourne, who is herself a two times state champion in Ladies competition
Last weekend’s Goulburn Ovens Sedan Association series round winner at Swan Hill, Marty Bassett is back again this weekend on his home track to attempt to go back-to-back with victories and as is the case with all Goulburn Ovens Sedans Association events, the competition will be fierce.
Marcus Maclean, Brandon Lovell, Stu Balins, Matt Sgroi, Ross Maclean, Justin Brockley, Billy O’Donoghue, Luke Collis, and Justin Ewert from the home club are all keen to defend their home track turf against drivers from the other clubs.
Peter Cox will lead locals into competition in the Unlimited Sedans this weekend with the racer from the Northern suburbs of Melbourne the number one driver for the club in the class. David Joliffe from Wollongong, Garry Coates, Billy O’Donoghue, and Wayne Eames will be looking to secure a Corowa member victory with nine powerful machines set to duke it out.
In Sports Sedan competition expect Bradin Claridge to be really difficult to beat. Competition should come from Rhys Collins and Daryl Joosten amongst others, keep an eye on Brayden Creek a developing young driver representing Corowa.
Juniors will have a squirt in the Speedway Sedans Australia New Stars category with Taijan Ussher one of recent track record holders set to turn laps with Cooper Lack and Lily Dannatt, all important as these three look for every lap possible to develop their skills.
Standard Saloon drivers have a small field with their Victorian title just a week after Wahgunyah runs this Sunday.
Rounding out all the entertainment from race drivers on Saturday is the local Humpy Holdens, the FJ Holdens. Amali Copeland and Kate Bunt leads the girls into action against the boys this weekend with David Small, David Walton, Ange Luscombe, and Ray Lavender all behind the wheels of their cars.
Gates to the public open from 9am. Racing starts at 3pm. A full canteen operates on site with hot, cold food and drinks. Entry is $25 for adults whilst the club offers aged pensioners and Children aged 12 to 16 a $15 entry. Any child under 12 is free.
