Sixteen bowlers gathered for Keith’s Friday competition, with Marita O’Kane and Graeme Hickey locked in a thrilling tie for first place, both scoring an impressive plus 13.
John Sullivan and Fred Pinnuck both took runners-up with plus 8.
Elaine Rothe and Barry Johnson clinched the best first game title with plus 6 and seven ends won. They narrowly edged out Geoff Brentnall and John Bruce, who also scored plus 6, but won six ends.
Carol Wigg and Peter Lihou were the best second game winners with plus 6.
The ladies autumn tournament got under way Monday, August 19 with Numurkah Golf victorious.
Numurkah Gold won the lucky draw.
Games continue each Monday until Monday, September 23, with play commencing after a 9.45am practice end.
It is important that everyone is aware that their name is on the notice board for the club fours and pennant.
Players are reminded of their responsibility to cross their name off the notice board sheet if they cannot participate in any Saturday or midweek pennants, or the club fours competition.
The match committee will be selecting teams this coming Thursday, August 29.
If players are selected, then they are expected to attend on opening day for the first round of the club fours.
A practice match for players intending to play midweek pennant has been arranged against Yarrawonga, to be played at home on Tuesday, September 24.
Lunch will be provided following a practice end at 9.45am.
Players are requested to put their names down for this practice match if they are interested in participating.
Practice matches for Saturday pennant will be on Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 29 against Corowa and East Shepparton, respectively.
The excitement builds as the unclaimed jackpot grows to a tempting $249.70 for the upcoming week.

Please note that because the AFL Grand Final is on the Saturday, the practice match against East Shepparton will be on Sunday, September 29.
Players are also asked to remember that there will be no playing on Tuesday, September 17, as the greens are set to be sprayed on that date.
