After an impressive 89 in round four, Coombs has jumped inside the top five leading run-scorers with 177.
There is another top four battle tomorrow when Kyabram Fire Brigade welcomes third-placed Moama to its home deck.
With last week's matches re-scheduled for December 15, the Flames did not end up sharing the points with Cooma.
Elsewhere, Rochester takes on Echuca South in a crucial contest that could define the reigning premier's season.
Rochester is outside the top four and cannot afford a loss to the bottom side South.
Lastly, Echuca will be gunning for its second win of the season when it hosts on Bamawm-Lockington United.
