The men’s edition will be the 17th iteration of the event held at Kyabram, while the women’s event will return for the 13th time.
With a unique par three design and elevated greens, the Kyabram Parkland course provides a challenging layout for golfers, and with hole lengths ranging from 124 to 219 metres, the 18 holes are far from a chip and putt course, according to event organiser Naomi Cartwright.
“The par three, it’s such a unique course,” Naomi said.
“It’s not a chip and putt course, I think people don’t understand when they say it’s par three, people think chip and putt, and it’s definitely not a chip and putt course, and we offer a great golfing experience.”

Played on consecutive weekends in June, the men and women will compete in separate tournaments, with slightly different formats between the two competitions.
“The women's event is the first weekend in June (3 and 4), and that is a 36-hole competition,” Naomi said.
“They play two days, the Saturday and the Sunday, and then the men's event is the long weekend in June (10 and 11), and that’s a 54-hole competition, playing 36 holes on Saturday and then 18 on Sunday.”
Jazy Roberts won the 2022 women’s competition by three strokes, while Harry Goakes prevailed in the men’s competition after two play-off holes.

The fields are capped, with limited entries available across both competitions.
“The men’s capacity is 90, we can only fit 90 men on, and the women's we have 144 capacity,” Naomi said.
“Numbers dropped a little bit after COVID. Last year was our first one after COVID, and the format sort of changed last year.
“The women’s event was midweek and then it’s changed to the weekend to cater for all sorts of golfers, the working golfer as such, so we are hoping if we can get up to 80 to 90 women, we will be doing well.”
