Police have reunited a specialised wheelchair worth $14,000 with its owner after it was stolen in Numurkah last week.
A member of the public located the motorised wheelchair dumped in Zeerust around lunchtime on Saturday, December 23, and took it to Numurkah Police Station.
Officers were pleased to return the specially fitted and designed wheelchair to its 13-year-old owner in time for Christmas.
The wheelchair was inside the family’s silver Hyundai Santa Fe, with registration 1UK-9RO, when it was stolen from Quinn St, Numurkah, between 10pm on Thursday, December 21, and 9.30am the following day.
The vehicle was found on Sunday, December 24 in bushland near Kinnairds Wetland in Numurkah.
