Gallery | Mooroopna breaks free on top of division three bowls ladder

Mooroopna journeyed to Shepparton Golf Bowling Club sitting on top of the ladder with six wins, while Golf closely followed with five.

Golf won a thrilling opening rink 20-19 before the visitor bit back and secured the second rink with a commanding 5-28 victory.

Mooroopna took its form into the third rink, which it won 15-21.

Shepparton Golf skipper Daryl Fallon led his side well to win the fourth rink 25-13, however, it wasn’t enough as the visitor walked away with the victory.

Mooroopna won the match 4-65 to 14-81.

In other division three matches, Avenel produced an upset victory at home defeating Shepparton Park 12-72 to 6-71.

Rushworth beat Mooroopna Golf 16-82 to 2-69, while Eildon defeated Kyabram 12-81 to 6-80.
