Papalia, 19, claimed the women’s division best and fairest and young women’s player of the year trophies, a just reward for her 57 goals in 20 matches.
Shepparton United coach Sheridan Fairless said the accolades were well deserved after such a consistent season.
“She scored in every game this season . . . not many players do that,” she said.
“It’s nice for her to be recognised in the league awards as well as our club awards.
“We’ve got a great family environment at the club and she’s definitely a big part of that.”
While United enjoyed a flawless 2019, not dropping a game, 2020 looks a different prospect with several key players, including Papalia, set to move on.
The departing contingent leaves a massive hole going into next season, but Fairless was looking forward to blooding some new talent.
“We definitely have a rebuilding year coming up,” she said.
“There’s seven or eight out of our core group that won’t play again next year.
“It was nice to come away from the season undefeated but it’s definitely going to be a new-look side next year.”
● Other familiar faces were also recognised at the league's night of nights.
Tatura's Tim Bordignon claimed the division two player of the year award, with Shepparton South's Josh Hopkins (youth) and Joel Aitken (division one) and Shepparton's Dhiya Al Mugotir (division two) all snaring golden boot gongs.
