Cobram Lions president Janet Austin has said the organisation has been overwhelmed by the generosity of the community once again.

The comments come as the Cobram Lions put together packages for the group’s annual Christmas raffle which will be drawn on Friday, December 15, at the annual Cobram Lions Twilight Market.
Sixty-six businesses made donations to the raffle, which will comprise 11 prizes.
Items in the raffle include power tools, kitchenware, vouchers and beverages.
Ms Austin said the Cobram Lions were incredibly grateful to those who supported the club.
“Thank you, your response has been overwhelming,” she said.
“We are absolutely amazed at how the businesses have gotten behind us and we are just so grateful.”
Tickets for the raffle will be sold from mid-October.
They can be purchased at the Cobram Lions-Mitre 10 monthly barbecue, the October, November and December markets and in the weeks leading up to the Twilight Market. Lions members will be selling raffle tickets at IGA and Woolworths.
Ms Austin said all money raised would go back to the community via the work Cobram Lions undertook.
“Everything we raise goes back to the community. We are very thankful for the love and support that people and businesses have given us,” she said.
“We hope that the Lions can continue to grow and support the local community well into the future.”
Raffle tickets will be $2 each or three for $5.
In other Cobram Lions news, the club has taken over lease of Killara House at the Cobram Showgrounds.
Ms Austin said the move had allowed the group to centralise operations.
“It gives us a meeting room, office, everybody has access, we can have meetings there. We can host guest speakers as well training sessions.”
Ms Austin said the user groups who met at Killara House would continue to be able to use the premises.
