Jerilerdie
Monday in Jerilderie was the start of our Ladies Pennant in the Western Riverina District Golf Association, comprising of teams from Jerilderie, Finley, Deniliquin and Berrigan.
In the Berrigan vs Finley game, Berrigan won 2-1.
When Jerilderie took on Deniliquin, Jerilderie won 3-nil.
The next round is at Berrigan, when Berrigan will verse Jerilderie and Finley will verse Deniliquin.
Thursday was the Ladies Monthly Medal, with the winner being Felicity Aull (107/36/71) and the runner-up was Heather Cameron 78 net.
Putts: Sara Ham 33 putts.
NTP: 16th, sponsored by Laurie Henery, Di Mitchell.
Sunday was the Men’s Monthly Medal.
Winner was Jamie Wilkinson (88/19/69) and runner-up was Aaron Purcell (80/9/71).

Entries are now being taken for Ian Sneddon MND Charity Golf Day to be held Sunday, June 25.
It is a four person ambrose for golfers and non-golfers alike.

The Paul Roberts Jewellers of Cobram stableford event was played in beautiful autumn weather.
The day was highlighted by a hole-in-one from Sharon Pyle on the par three 13th hole.
Winner: Beth White 39 points.
NTP: 13th Sharon Pyle.
Ball comp: Janet Delmenico 37, Marian Ayres 34, and Sharon Pyle 33.
Men:
The Finley Bakery and Patisserie event winner was Trevor McCaw with 41 points.

Stableford was played on the front nine at the Nine Hole Competition on Thursday.

Once again stableford was played for the Finley Friday Fish Tray on Friday.

Saturday was the A and A Harding Stroke Day, at which the men played for the May Monthly Medal and the ladies played for a Club Brooch.

Berrigan
Friday’s winner was Chris Kelly (40-7-33) and runner-up was Maria McDonell (55-18-37).
Chris Kelly also won the putting with 14 putts.

Saturday’s winner was Joe Nicholls (43-9.5-33.5) and runner-up was Steve Senini (47-13-34).
Jeff Stein won the putting with 13 putts.
Ball comp: Joe Karakai (43-8.5-34.5).
Sunday’s winner was Jeff Stein with 33 points and runner-up was Joe Nicholls with 33 points.
Next Sunday is stroke and the first round of Handicap Championship.
Tee off is at 12.30pm.
Riverina Left-Handed Golfers
The Riverina Division of Left-Handed Golfers held their third event on May 7 - the second round Championships for 2023 at Cobram Barooga Golf Club.
A brisk autumn morning greeted 26 players, and the course at Cobram Barooga was in excellent condition.
Left-handed players competed in a stroke/stableford event, and right-handed golfers played a stableford event.
Winner was Colin Holdsworth (Tocumwal Golf Club) and runner-up on countback was John Broster (Wagga Country Club).
The medley left-handed stableford was won by Carmel Butcher (Tocumwal Golf Club) to runner-up Kaye Sutton (Finley Golf Club).
The right-handers competition was won by Helen Nolan (Albury Commercial Club) and runner-up was Tony Kloman (Corowa Golf Club).
All the other players won a golf ball.
It was a great day of golf, fun and friendship and Corowa Golf Club were fantastic hosts.
Peter Nolan from Albury Commercial Golf Club was awarded Life Membership for his 45 years of representing Riverina Lefties in Riverina events, as well as National & World Left-handed golf championships.
The next event is at the Narrandera Golf Club on Sunday, June 4.
It is the final round of the Left-Handed Championships.
There will be a stableford competition for right-handers
The cost for the day will be $30, which includes lunch.
