Another successful game for B Grade on Saturday as they took away an 11-point win against an undefeated Mathoura.
After starting the year with a completely new team, B grade continue to successfully build on their different player combinations on court, and approach game day as a strong team unit.
Mid court worked tirelessly in the sun, switching quickly between attack and defence with great arms over pressure to help the defenders.
One-percenters from Caroline and Mariah in the centre court were rewarded by the goalers who shot with precision all day. Both Carly and Kara rebounded extremely well against very strong Mathoura defenders.
With fantastic communication in and around the goal ring, the defenders were able to consistently apply pressure over Mathoura and stopped them from any scoring run-ons.
Congratulations to Lily on her first game in B grade from U17’s, taking direction easily, moving the ball quickly and providing strong pressure across the court.

The team were so pleased to see some great passages of play allowing some quick and easy goals.
The shooters played well together particularly on some taller defenders. Brooke did very well to hold herself and get in front of her player to score.
Ahead the whole game, Tungamah really allowed themselves to get a good gap in score when restricting Mathoura to only one goal in the second quarter.
The defenders yet again worked tirelessly to keep those goals at a minimum. Grace played a consistent game taking multiple intercepts and turns overs.

The girls yet again put on a great performance this week. It’s great to watch them each week take the court and not only enjoy themselves but run the game out as a supportive team.
Each quarter the girls were asked to focus on something different and each quarter they proved their ability to work as a team to complete the challenges set.
Ruby demonstrated just how defensive pressure should be done resulting in multiple turnovers while Annabelle and this week’s captain Milli continued yet another week of displaying strong drives throughout the court.
The coaches are beyond proud of this group of girls and look forward to what’s ahead for them all.
