Club volunteers have been eagerly preparing the track and surrounds for the meeting, which will see racing return to Deniliquin after an extended break due to COVID-19 and then flooding.
A big project recently undertaken was removal of a large tree which was causing significant damage to the undercover area and bar.
This was carried out with the assistance of Murray Constructions and BLT Fabrications, and the Racing Club is appreciative of their support.
“This was a huge task and could not have been completed by club volunteers alone,” explained Racing Club president Greg Danckert.
“We are grateful for the ongoing support of many local businesses, and this was another example of our community helping the club to provide a suitable and comfortable venue and facilities for patrons.”
The Anzac Day meeting will feature a five-race program with the feature event being the $16,000 White Lion Hotel Diggers Cup.
There will be full TAB facilities, plus local and metropolitan bookmakers.
The day also includes a host of activities.
Fashions on the Field is always popular, there will be live entertainment and after the last race the Anzac Day tradition continues with a game of two-up.
