At a very well attended annual meeting the club has appointed a new chairman and deputy chairman. John Firmer was elected unopposed to the main role and his deputy will be Carmen Quattrocchi.

Maureen Shepherd agreed to do one more year as secretary and this decision was met with lots of applause. Graeme Hubble will do the actual banking, and the paying of accounts, etc, will be handled by Joe Chant and Maureen Shepherd.

Joe Chant volunteered to do publicity, the bar and act as pennant manager. Others to be elected to the board were David Pettifer, Lee Chant and John Bailey.

At the next board meeting the other portfolios of selection and match committee will be filled. John Firmer will continue as our greenkeeper Thanks John, the greens have never looked better at this time of the year.

We have recently had solar panels placed onto the clubrooms and this should be a great help with the rising cost of electricity. This was made possible by a grant.

Each Thursday (weather permitting) we have social bowls beginning at 1pm. All members and new bowlers are welcome to play.

We supply a light snack and a cuppa for the cost of $4. So far this winter we have had very few suitable days.

Thanks to Carmen and his fellow workers for the new mower ramp. This will save heaving the present metal ramp on and off the green every time it is mown or sprayed. Well done!
