Paying homage to the musical talents of the region, senior students from Goulburn Valley Grammar School, Notre Dame College, Shepparton Christian College, Shepparton High School and Wanagnui Park Secondary College have been busy organising the event.
Held at Goulburn Valley Grammar School, Year 12 music prefect Anthony Dohrman said the students at each school decided to get involved to celebrate the last year of four individual government secondary colleges in the local region.
"We'll be playing in our separate bands and then we'll all be coming together to play a song," he said.
The students are encouraging the community to come along and enjoy a barbecue for a gold coin donation.
Student artwork will also be on display at the event.
Attendees are allowed to bring their own food, however, alcohol is not permitted.
This free concert event is on Friday, August 30, at Goulburn Valley Grammar School, 455 Verney Rd, Shepparton.
Doors open at 6.30pm and music begins at 7pm. All ages are welcome.
