Three maximum 180s were hit, there were seven peg-outs above 60 and well over 100 tons.
Most of the games went to 6-5 but there were a couple of outstanding performances, with Bar Flies and Jets both winning 8-3.
Players to throw 180s were Darren Manners and Dave Clarke, both from P-Heads, along with the Jets’ Cam Milgate.
The highest peg was hit by Misfits newcomer Michael Bajowski with 118. He also headed the ton list with 12, along with the Jets’ Dylan Oaffs.
Bajowski is a state player and with partner Brandon Weening recently won the Australian Doubles Trophy at the Australian Championships held in Moama.
His influence on the league will certainly be positive and I’m sure other players will lift their game to try and aspire to Bajowski’s level.
Although the ladders don’t really reflect the standout teams, it is an indication of what to expect in future rounds. But with 13 rounds to go, anything can happen.
Double Trouble and Rich River Hornets are still to play.
