Grab your roll, chuck a million tasty bits and bobs in it, and three minutes later you’re out the door with lunch in hand.
Nam Phung is hoping to make that lunchtime dream a reality for Shepparton, opening Vietnamese Street Foods 888 on High St this week.
The store opened on Tuesday, and owner Mr Phung said business had gone well in the first week.
He said there would be specials each week to keep things fresh, alongside the menu of Vietnamese rolls, which he was trying to keep as cheap as possible.
“At the moment we’re just selling rolls for busy lunches so it’s about three minutes per person,” he said.

“This week we’ll have Vietnamese pancakes and next week we’ll have highland chicken and it’ll cycle so people can try different things.”
Mr Phung has been in Australia for eight years after moving from Vietnam, and has been in Shepparton for two years after moving from Melbourne, mostly working at the Peppermill Inn, Kialla.
He said he loved Shepparton and wanted to raise his family here.
“This is a good place for the kids growing up and for us as well, nice and friendly,” he said.
While his parents were hardly mad cooks, Mr Phung loved food and joked that he would eat anything as a youngster, which translated to him learning to cook.
He said his parents had said they were proud for “bringing something special to Shepparton”.
