Coach Georgia Ryan, who is also overseeing the other grades at the club, has one goal in mind for season 2021.
“Being the head coach from A-grade to under-15s, my goal is to see all grades make finals,” Ryan said.
“We're trying to focus a lot more on our footwork and perfect the basics and hopefully that will set us up for a good year.”
Ryan said the squad was itching to play since balls had been introduced at training.
“I think it will be nice to be back out there and playing again,” she said.
“The girls are pretty excited after starting to handle the balls.
“They are a good group off court and if we can match that on court, I think we will be in for a ripper season.”
One of the players to watch will be teenage sensation Elsie Boyer, who will be preparing for her third A-grade season, despite her age.
“Elsie Boyer, she's only 16, but she's always one to watch,” Ryan said.
“She's hoping to gain a contract with the Altona Falcons.”
Boyer won't be the only up-and-coming star to get a taste of A-grade action this season.
“I've got three training partners with A-grade coming up from the under-17s,” Ryan said.
“Mia Earl, Charlotte Gray and Tayla Albury-Mills, will be some of the youngsters to watch for us.”
