The qualifying rounds of the FFA cup were drawn on Thursday, with Tatura and Shepparton South the local names picked from the pot.
Shepparton South will make the cool five-hour journey north-west to take Mildura City on February 20.
City, a completely unknown entity, took out the Football Sunraysia grand final when competition play was last staged in 2019.
But if previous results are anything to go by, South should feel held in good stead.
Last year the Southerners breezed through the cup’s opening stages, exiting in the third round after being narrowly edged out 1-0 by Mill Park.
On the other hand, Tatura takes the elevator to round one through drawing the bye.
The Ibis will look to better last year's finish when it fell in the second round, going down 5-4 at the hands of East Brighton.
● The Goulburn Valley Suns will later be injected in round three of the competition with the other National Premier League Two sides.
A successful 4-0 win over Corio saw the Orangemen progress to the fourth round in 2020, but not before COVID-19 halted all cup proceedings.
