Rotary pitches in to help scouts prepare for summer

If you have not had cause to drive past the Benalla Scout Hall, you should do so.

It been transformed by a group of Rotarians led by Neil Smith who have spent many hours cleaning, sanding and then painting the exterior of the hall.

There is a couple of interesting facts about this working party comprising eight Rotarians.

Their cumulative age represents a total of 612 years of experience.

The oldest member present was 88 and the youngest 73.

These are pretty amazing figures and it makes you wonder who will be the volunteers in the future?

Notwithstanding this these volunteers have put in many hours of work over numerous days to bring a totally new look to the hall.

A spokesperson for the Benalla Scouts has conveyed their sincere gratitude to Rotary for the time and effort put in to refurbish their hall.
